RENO,NV OCTOBER 5, 2010: VORRA is back to short course wheel-to-wheel racing holding its third short course race this weekend October 9-10, 2010 at the Prairie City OHV Park in Folsom, California. After the completion of a long desert season, the points battle is close in several of the classes and the excitement and competition will be high in the final two races before awarding the 2010 Season Champions.
The one-mile course is made up of big jumps, hair-pin turns, long straight-aways, and a finish line table top right in front of the grandstands at the Prairie City OHV Park. Each class will have plenty of chances to win racing 3 heat races consisting of 6 laps each. The individual class races will be important, but the series points are just as close. Sam Berri in Class 1, Mike Koenig in Class T and Red Team Racing in Class 10 are in respective order, and all are within 50 points of each other. One race can change everything.
The park will open early on Saturday with tech and contingency in the morning, practice in the afternoon and qualifying starting at 5pm. Grandstand racing starts Sunday morning at 9:45am after a 9:00am practice session. There is a break mid-day for lunch from the hot dog cart and the awards ceremony to follow immediately after.
The Prairie City OHV Park has undergone some remodeling and spectator improvements by adding in new picnic areas, bathrooms and landscaping. The improvements will allow additional spectator viewing for what is sure to be another exciting VORRA race.
The eighth and final short course race will be held on Halloween weekend with a BBQ, costume party and kids pumpkin carving contest. Topping off the 2010 series, a powder puff and mechanic race will also be held during the final short course event of the season.
VORRA is in its 35th year of producing high quality, yet family affordable racing. These short course races are a great opportunity to bring your car out to race, and your family to enjoy a nice Northern California Fall day. Gate fee is only $10, Juniors 8-14 $5 and 7-under free.

Valley Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) was established in 1975 as a family-oriented organization and is led by current promoter Wes Harbor who believes that “off road racing has its roots in people’s garages”. VORRA is the only organization to offer both four short course races and four desert races as part of its overall season championship. Each race draws over 60 racers between multiple classes available for Cars, Trucks, Pilots, ATV, UTV and Trophy Karts. In 2010 VORRA has added two additional truck classes and a stand alone ATV Race Series. More information can be found at www.vorra.net
